This website (“Translate Slides — PowerPoint Translator”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Plural AS. We respect your privacy and do not sell personal information.

How the service works

• Your PowerPoint (.pptx) file is processed client‑side in your browser.
• We do not upload your .pptx file to our servers.
• Only extracted text is sent to our server to request a translation, and then forwarded to Google Gemini to perform the translation.

Data we process

• Uploaded files: processed locally in your browser; not stored on our servers.
• Translation text: text extracted from slides is sent to our server and to Google Gemini to obtain translations. We do not store translation text after the translation completes (except transient processing in memory).
• Security/abuse prevention: we may enable short‑retention technical logs (such as IP address, timestamp, and request metadata) to prevent abuse and to protect the service. If enabled, we retain these logs for up to 7 days.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used for consent management and (when enabled) advertising/analytics, based on your preferences.

Advertising and cookies

We use CookieYes for cookie consent management. We plan to run ads via Google AdSense. If/when AdSense is enabled, Google may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads, subject to your consent choices. Why we use data (legal basis)

• Essential operations: to provide the service you request (process your file locally and send extracted text for translation).
• Security/abuse prevention: to protect the service and prevent misuse.
• Advertising/analytics (if enabled): based on your consent, where required.

Retention

• Files: not retained on our servers.
• Translation text: not retained after translation completes (except transient processing in memory).
• Technical logs (if enabled): retained for up to 7 days.
